CenterState Bank's history of quality service and community focus started in the early 1990?s when a group of individuals came together around the belief that local ownership and local management would translate into a better bank. Through their vision and investment, a bank was born - a community bank headquartered in Polk County: First National Bank of Polk County. Several years later, another bank came into being with its first office in Winter Haven: CenterState Bank, built upon the same core values. In January of 2006, First National and CenterState merged to become CenterState Bank of Florida, with over $400 million in assets and a banking center network of 12 offices conveniently located throughout Polk County. In August of 2008, CenterState Bank acquired a Correspondent Banking division located in Birmingham, AL. This enables CenterState Bank to be used by other banks for their lending and investing needs. Most recently, in January of 2009, CenterState Bank welcomed Ocala National Bank into our family with 4 offices in Marion County. These latest additions combined with the steady growth of the Polk branches bring the asset total to approximately $800 million.
